Google GO app is now available worldwide

The lightweight Google Go search app had a limited debuted in India and Indonesia a year ago, has now been made available worldwide. It is a lighter, faster way to search, with search results optimized to save up to 40% data. Google Go search app is a little over 7MB in size and is aimed at devices with low configurations or a bad data connection.

It is also able to remember your search results when you’re back online if your connection drops. The app is available now on the Play Store, and Google says it will run on all Android devices running on Lollipop (5.0) and above.

Make Google read it, simply point your camera at text or listen to any web page. Words are highlighted as they are read, so you can easily follow along. Save time by tapping your way through trending queries and topics, or by using your voice to say what you’re looking for.

How it Works?

Get search results in another language

  1. At the top, tap Settings
  2. Under “Languages,” tap Choose a second language for Search.

You can search for web pages, images, GIFs, and more.

  1. Open the Google Go app
  2. Tap a category like Search, Images, or GIFs.
  3. Do a search – tap Go.
  4. Above the search bar, tap the language you want to see results in.

Search using voice

  1. Open the Google Go app
  2. From the search bar, tap Microphone and then say your search.

You can also do a voice search by tapping “Voice search” from the homepage.
